Il y a
longtemps, je vous ai rendu visite lors des AG comme la tradition Lions l’exige.
Il y a
longtemps, vous m’avez coopté en vous disant : il sera un bon maillon.
Il y a
longtemps vous m’avez intronisé et par cette voie, je suis devenu membre du Club
Douala Barracuda et par effet d’entraînement de l’Association Lions Clubs
International.
Il y a
longtemps vous m’avez formé pour faire rayonner en moi le don de SERVIR.
J’ai
adhéré en homme libre à la pensée de notre illustre fondateur Melvin Jones qui
dit, je cite : « Il me semble que l’on ne va pas bien loin si l’on ne fait pas
quelque chose pour quelqu’un d’autre » fin de citation.
Vous
m’avez appris à être fidèle à notre devise « NOUS SERVONS » et à vivre
intensément la vocation internationale du Lionisme.
Hier, vous
m’avez désigné Président Elect par l’usage de la Sagesse, par la Force de la
persuasion.
Aujourd’hui, permettez-moi d’accepter l’œuvre à bâtir pour y ajouter la Beauté
par mon travail.
En ma
qualité de Président du Club pour l’exercice 2005-2006, je vous dis merci pour
la confiance témoignée et accordée
